Another week with only little sewing going on in my household. I put borders on 2 QFK's quilts and that's about it. Rather boring - I agree and one of the quilts still needs the 2nd /last border.
The plan for this week is to sew a few more blocks for the Neptune Hexagon Quilt along. And another block for the Jelly roll sampler quilt.
Well, as shown on the stash report I had finished the Spice socks and moved on to the 1st Purple Rain sock. Originally I wanted to try the loop method, but it was easier to stick to the known 5 needles and go from there...
Supposedly it was a striped yarn, but it ended up to be diagonal stripes - and I quite like it! I believe it's called 'pooling'.
The question is: how will sock # 2 turn out?

Have a good week,

I have weeks like that, very little sewing! But look what you've accomplished. I love the new socks. I like the way the yarn pools on this one. Very different.
ReplyDeleteA little sewing is better than none. Most of my weeks lately have little sewing in them.
ReplyDeleteIt will be interesting to see if the next sock pools.
The nicer the weather gets outside the less I'll be spending inside sewing...just the cycle of things I guess. The knitting is cool, learning to knit is on my list of things to do...
ReplyDeleteI bet the next sock has regular stripes. You probably can't get it to pool again if you try. I like my socks to be slightly different and am looking forward to seeing more sock progress.
ReplyDeleteheh heh! loving the sock! Can;t wait to see how it will turn out! xx
ReplyDeleteWonderful quilts! 8-)
