Bonnie Challenge - update

I had joined Jo's Bonnie Challenge
and have an update on my quest
to conquer these trouble/ wing units
of my Orca Bay Quilt:

All the red strings + 2 wing units on the left side
are finished!
Wohoo,
now there are just 21 left to sew!
This means 42 wings + 21 red strings:
not bad at all!
And thanks to the tips of my readers,
the new needle and paper underneath the unit
worked the best!
So glad I tackled it,
inspired by Jo and here Bonnie quilts.
Happy sewing,
Barb

  1. I still love that quilt, going to have to make it again and keep it this time. Yours is looking great, way to hang in there.

  2. Looking good. That's one I don't think I'll ever try.

  3. I like this quilt. I saw a couple done with a striped fabric in place of the strings. I would do that. Glad you figured out a better way to do them. Good luck finishing your blocks.
