Ok, the last days I have been sewing pedal-to-the-medal
and I just finished the binding on my "Prism Burst",
following the Patchwork Prism quilt along.
And I just love it!
All of it!
The colors & fabrics,
my quilting
and the overall quilt!
Wow, what a great pattern -
finally I found the courage to use
a whole lot of my favorite fabrics.
They were just waiting for this perfect pattern -
thank you Anna Maria Horner!
And what a great idea of quilt along
or I would have never started it:
Thanks to Sweet Diesel Design!
So, please come and meet
my Prism Burst in its full glory:
Backing view with "Paper Fan"
and binding "Roman Glass" fabric:
I only have earlier indoor pictures
where you can see the quilting lines:
And a sketch that shows it much better -
and ultimately named my quilt
Prism Burst:
Some 'process' pictures taken along the way:
marking with skinny Painter's Tape
And my wrestle with a 6 inch throat machine:
Not for the faint of heart,
But I persevered and
I love everything about this quilt -
especially that is has not become a UFO,
but a finished quilt!
All mine!
