Stash Report

This week I kept myself busy sewing 3 bindings (yeah - there is light at the end of the binding tunnel!!), a backing for Music Bloom and some more of Anita's Arrowhead block. It ended up at  5 1/2 yards used - nice!
And: I won a Fat Quarter Shop Jolly Jabber giveaway - yesterday received a box with a FQB of Red Rose Farm: It's beautiful!

If you have a favorite fat quarter pattern, please let me know! There are 2 bundles in my house that I don't dare to cut until I found just the right pattern.

Stash Report Week 41 / 2010:

Fabric used this week: 5.5 yrds
Fabric used year-to-date: 177.9 yrds
Fabric added this week: 4 yrds (win)
Fabric added year-to-date: 128.4 yrds
Net used in 2010: 49.5 yrds
I seem to be slowly inching toward the 50 yard mark...

Please check out othe stash reports on Judy's blog.

All week I either walked or went to the fitness center in the evening - so it's been a good and active week! Yesterday's 6 mile walk in Stony Creek Park was just beautiful with fall colors and nice warm weather. I will try to do it again today - got to wait a little longer for some more sun and higher temps though.
Happy Sunday,
Barb

  2. My favorite pattern for a fat quarter bundle is a 6 fat quarter bag only I make it with 12 - 6 out and 6 inside with 1 for handles. They are big enough to carry anything. I have been trying to track down the author of the pattern w/o success.

  3. I'm like you! I have some fat quarter bundles, but I'm loathe to cut into them until I have "just the right pattern." Good luck with that.

  4. What about "Yellow Brick Road" or one of those Turning Twenty quilts - they would show off the fabric without tons of tiny pieces??

You are my inspiration - off to bind a quilt with cute stars quilted on it.

  5. Lucky duck! That's a lovely bundle!
I just finished making a bunch of the stashbusters quilts with the seniors from the buttonberry girls in Australia. It went really fast and you can see the fabrics well!

  6. Very nice FQ's. Almost to 50 yards busted, that's great! Plus staying on track with fitness is all awesome.
