Design wall Monday

I know: it's late for a design wall post, but it still is Monday. Somehow I ran out of MOJO and only a few minutes ago got my act together... Ok, so here we go.
First I had finished another block of the jelly roll sampler quilt along.
As mentioned in my stash report, I was going to cut some more fabric for QFK kits that I could easily use as leaders & enders. I found a 'ship ahoy' kids print and added yellow & red for the 4 patches. Not too bad. I actually had enough material to cut 2 sets!
While going through my fabric I came across the brown football print - and am open to your suggestions which colors you would use for the 4 patch.
Meantime I am still working on 'Simply a bloom', but you have seen the quilt top already too many times.
Please check out other design walls at Judy's Patchwork Times!

Oops, I almost forgot - here is the status of my Spice socks:
Enjoy your week,

  1. Love, love, love your socks!!!! love them! Great leader/ender project. Not into football at all but maybe a team's colors for the 4 patch??? Whatever you do, a little football fan will love it!

  2. I think a medium blue would look good with it - brown and blue! Nice work!

  3. I see blue and a creamy yellow with the footballs.

  4. nice socks! and love the Jelly roll block and fabric

  5. Love your Plume block and thanks for the idea of using the GFK as leaders/enders.

  6. I like your block! do you have your hexagons done?
Also I wanted to ASK if you know of any quilt retreats. Your blog says metro Detroit. I live in a burb of Det.

Thank you for your comment - you made my day!
