Design Wall Monday

As always I am juggling
several projects at once.
First up is my August UFO project -
Quilting Easy Street:
I have chosen dimpled Minky as backing
(a first for me)
- no batting -
and am using the Flaired Clam shell EZ boards
(you can see the white boards on the left).

And one more picture:
I just love how it's turning out!
Hope I can finish quilting
by the end of the month!

Then I worked on getting the latest step
of the Star Surround QA done.
We made the corner and side units:

Meantime I continue to sew
on the x & + quilt -
and then there were 9 blocks

And just because,
have a look at my latest visitor:
Sitting on my Rhododendron,
and having a good time ( I hope).
He can stay as long as he wants,
nothing like Judy's scorpions...

Linking up to Judy's Patchwork Place,

  1. Green frogs are fun to watch. They would congregate on my kitchen window at night catching insects attracted to the light. Then the green lizards took over. The light burnt out and my visitors stop coming. Guess they were there for the food not the company!

  2. love the fabrics in your x+ quilt! Do you realize that there is a different layout of the one in the bottom right corner? I'm pointing it out to you because if it wasn't intentionally different, I would want someone to tell me before I got it all stitched up in a quilt. If you did it intentionally, the little O looks cute in the midst of all of the X's.

  3. If your Easy Street is anything like mine, it is huge and takes forever to quilt. But, oh, it is so striking.

  4. Wonderful way for me to wake up and check my email and blogs! Thanks Barb for all the beauty! Your Easy Street is just so cool and will be so warm and cozy for you!!

  5. LOVE your X and + quilt--have to do one of those someday!

  6. So many fun things. Love the quilting on easy streets, oh and with a minky backing, heaven!! Your X and + quilt is looking fabulous

  7. Love, love, love the x and +! I made one last year and it's one of my favorites. I don't think I've seen one that I didn't like.

  8. Love your Jap X&O quilt, its one of my favorites!

  9. Wow, lots going on - love the minkee on the back of the quilt.

  10. I really love your quilts. I have to ask, how is the Minkee to work with? I haven't been brave enough to try it! And I have to say, the frogs are pretty cute but I hope that it is outside!!!

Thank you for your comment - you made my day!
