Stash Report

After a perfect vacation with a loooong trip back, an immediate work trip to Southern Mexico I am finally back home - nice!
It took me 24 hrs to get back from Seattle to Detroit! My friend made it home to Germany when I was still stuck in Minneapolis.
But we had a great time in Seattle. First we spent some time in town  and then it was up to the Cascades for a day long hike - just perfect!
Close to Pike Market we even found a Quilt Store "Undercover Quilts". Bad for my stash though: I found 4 yards of sale fabric for $2/ yrd and couldn't resist...
And then yesterday I added some 4 yrds for the backing of 70 Circles quilt which were immediately used.
Just have to sew on the binding and the quilt should make it to the recipient today! Yeah, just 10 days late for a 70. b'day, but at least I have a good excuse for having been out of town. And it used 7.5 yrds, so the overall usage didn't change much despite the additions!

Stash Report week 33 & 34 / 2010:
Fabric used this week: 7.5 yrds

Fabric used YTD: 156.9 yrds
Added this week: 8 yrd
Added YTD: 120.4 yrds
Net used in 2010: 36.5 yrds

Please go to Judy's place and check out other stash reports!

As for my fitness report: I skated about 100 miles on the skate tour in Idaho, walked & hiked for another probably 10 hrs, swam in rivers & lakes - and LOVED every minute of it!
Have a great Sunday,

  1. I love this quilt! And great job on busting the fabric.

  2. Welcome home, Barb! Your use of gray in this quilt is really neat. That's not a color that I'd normally go for, but you're proving me wrong. Thanks for opening my eyes to the possibilities!

  3. Wow! You got some great exercise this week!

    Beautiful quilt.

  4. Your vacation sounds so wonderful. (Not the traveling part, I hate flying because of the hassle.) Your quilt is great and I am sure it will be much loved.

  5. Glad you had a good time in WA. It is very pretty here. Good job with both reports. Skating 100 miles, wow!!!

  6. you almost broke even for the week! and your circle quilt looks great!!

Thank you for your comment - you made my day!
