For Design Wall Monday I have photos of 2 projects.
First up is the final lay-out & size of the Cowboy Circle Around. All blocks are done, setting in 5 x 7, now to sew them together and the top is done.
And what started as a 1 block test, ended up being 4 blocks for a quick wall hanging for myself. Three blocks are completed and 1 is almost there. The pattern is called Summer Siesta ( Quiltmaker May/ June 2010 by T. Eisinger). I followed her color scheme with pieces from my stash. These are huge blocks with 14 1/2 inch square - well, at least huge for me.
That's it from my design wall - please go to Patchwork Times and have a look at other quilting design walls!
Happy Monday,
Barb
Guess what: after a longer break I finally went back to the fitness center:
No bugs, not many people, heaven!
And so far my lower back is cooperating!
Great blocks...love the colors. Keep us posted.
ReplyDeleteLove the circles. I was looking at that very block last night and decided I had enough started! Good idea to make a wall hanging. :-)
ReplyDeleteLOVE the fabric choices for the "Cowboy Circles." That is going to be a great quilt.
ReplyDeleteOooh, ahhh... love both of those. I bought the magazine with the circle quilt and I am using a Moda "Hello Betty" for it. I have not had much luck in the on point blocks or diagonal set as they are toooooo stretchy, any tips?
ReplyDeleteI love the circles and the other blocks are wonderful also. What size are the circle blocks?
ReplyDeleteI really like that Siesta quilt and your blocks are lovely.
ReplyDeleteLove your Summer Siesta blocks and your cowboy quilt is so cute.
ReplyDeleteLove the circle blocks: are they appliqued? The other block really looks tough. Maybe your going back to the gym will inspire me. I have lost weight but just can't get into exercise even though I really need to.
