My photo may not do it justice, but adding the tiny yellow middle squares, made it go from blah to WOW! I also moved the yellow flower off center - looks like a less predictable and nicer lay-out, at least to me.
The finishing of the quilt top will be done this weekend, probably as part of Judy's Quiltathon.
