Design Wall Monday

For a while now
I have been fascinated by Scrap Attack
hosted by Stitched in Color.
I checked out the tutorials and beautiful scrap quilt -
and finally got started.
But I couldn't make up my mind
which scrap block I liked most -
so I had to try several.
Have a look:
There is still some fine tuning going on
and not all rows have been sewn together yet.
But I like it!
It has scrumb blocks, left over HST's, strip blocks,
Granny square and hour glass blocks, and postage (well, a bit bigger).
I still meant to do the Japanese blocks as well,
but ran out of time. Oops.
First my lay-out
did not have the added white sashing,
and looked a bit dull & dreary.
Now with white it looks so much cleaner & fresher,
nice!
And the racing flag border (?) gives it a more finished look,
even though I will keep it on 2 sides only.

Hopefully I will be able to submit a finished top
to the Festival Of Scrappiness,
taking place March 26th - 28th!

  2. The racing flag border is an added focus for this scrap-happy quilt.
