Orca Bay - the first units...

I guess I just could not resist
Bonnie Hunter's new mystery quilt Orca Bay.

Still waaayyys to go -
and I may even consider a smaller size quilt top and
only do half the amount of hour glas units,
something like 112...
Well, one unit at a time.
And I know it will all be worth it in the end:
Bonnie's mysteries always make beautiful quilts!
and see all the "super sonic sewers"
that are already done with step 1 !
Happy sewing,
Barb

  1. I was surprised that it didn't take that long to make them. I had yesterday at home and got them all done. I think the number just puts us off. Roll on Friday now as I want to do the next step!

  2. I'm cheering for you Barb! Keep on sewing!! Are you using the ruler (Easy Angler 2?) that Bonnie recommended??

  3. I'm doing half the units numbers as well. I'm at the trimming up stage as I used 3.5" squares to start with. Good luck with your progress - looks good so far :)

  4. Your blocks are looking good, and your blog background looks like it could be "Orca Bay". You have a beautiful blog.
