After finishing all the BASICS quilts I slowly started up some more blocks again.
First up my current count of Anita's Arrowhead blocks -
I think I will try a 4 x 4 setting as a baby quilt (block size is 9" square).
Then I started 2 scrappy broken dish blocks for our Quilt Guild blockery -
we are getting ready for Bonnie Hunter's lecture
and workshop in our November meeting.
I can't wait for her "Star Struck" workshop -
and hope to bust more stash
(and exchange with fellow quilters for more scrappiness)!
What's on your design wall?
Go to Judy and be inspired by other DWM!
Have a great week,
Barb
Love your Arrowheads! And you know your scrappy blocks sing to me! :) Workshop with Bonnie, jealous!!!!! Have fun!
ReplyDeleteA 4 x 4 setting means only a few more blocks! Good work going on at your machine. I love Bonnie Hunter and wish she would do some west coast events sometime...it would be wonderful to see her trunk show and take a class.
ReplyDeleteLove the arrowhead blocks, just saw a demo on how to do them last week. It is on my to try someday list..lol
ReplyDeleteI love your two color arrowheads and I tried them using bigger squares. I ended up with 14 inch finished using 12 inch to start.
ReplyDeleteThose arrowhead blocks are stunning! Enjoy Bonnie's class... perhaps someday she will come to the sticks of LA... NOT!

I'm excited about taking a Bonnie workshop in Jan 2011 at Road to CA. Just so happens it is the Star Struck workshop too. Look forward to seeing what your workshop in November yields.
ReplyDeleteThe scrap blocks are so cute. There seems to be a new surge in scrappy quilts in blogland these days and I love seeing them. Fun!
ReplyDeleteLove the arrowhead blocks - I liked the block but am CRAZY for the effect you get when you put them together - very striking!!! Good Job!
