After a busy week at work I finally got some sewing in yesterday and managed to get the borders & backing for the 1st Log Cabin quilt done (just to find out I had no batting left...). Then I got a good start on finishing the jelly roll sample quilt top. All in all it adds to 4yrds and evens out my additions of 4 yrds (material for backing & binding). So the net used fabric amount stays the same. Oh well.
Fabric used this week: 4 yards
Fabric used year-to-date: 160.9 yrds
Fabric bought this week: 4 yrds
Fabric bought year-to-date: 124.4yrds
Net used in 2010: 36.5 yrds
Please go to Judy's blog and check out other stash reports. Judy used an amazing 22 yards this week! Wow!
This also must have been my slowest fitness week ever. I guess when you run around at work for 8 hrs, there is not much energy left for additional walks... So I managed 2 walks for a total of 2 hours.
The weather has gotten a bit colder (love it!), and it's getting darker earlier. That means I have to get back into my fitness routine indoors and get 3 visits at the fitness center in per week.
That may not be happenig next week - another business trip to Mexico, but I'll try.
Happy Sewing on Labor Day weekend,
Barb
I just love the brightness of that quilt and backing. It is so happy. It is getting a bit cooler here too and I am starting to walk again. You will get in walking even on a trip.
ReplyDeleteYou log cabin quilt looks great, love that color combo. It's also nice that you were able to finish off your first LC UFO. Kudos! JAne
ReplyDeleteYour log cabin is so cheerful - love it.... I enjoyed the Michigan game yesterday - glad the weather is cooler! Have fun in Mexico.
