Design Wall Monday

Well, here it goes:

while sewing my 1st Fractured block,

I used some blocks for Alycia drive

as leader and enders.

Then some more cutting

for the Fractured QA 

and both borders for the Halloween top attached

(started for the Craftbuds book month):

After having joined the GLHQ last Thurday

I picked up a kit for a donation quilt

and started sewing these HST as well:

(yes, they were somehow cut in different sizes

and I will have to square them up).

Oh, and I had to add 1 more 

Halloweeny leftover spool

3 1/2 inch square:

And I finished the binding on my 

Star Surround quilt,

but the big reveal will be 

after the Monday parade...

That's about it:

sure looks like Quilters ADD..

but lots of stuff got moved along.

Design Wall Monday

Look,

I added some more spools:

total count: 16 blocks.

 I used some DS fabric leftover

that I had cut for the Star Surround QA.

And then after months of no frame quilting

 I finally loaded Modern Blossom and started quilting.

Still trying to meet the month-end dead line for 

A lovely Year of finishes:

(Dark photo - sorry).

Do you like the Clamshells with Flair?

-they are done with easy sewing boards.

Only a little over half quilted

and I still  need to attach the binding

by July 31.

Cutting for Star Surround QA

Ok,

before I miss the deadline,

I better get my fabric cut

and posted to Melissa's linky party:

I am making a 1 star block quilt of 40 x 40,

that's all I can commit to at this moment,

but it should turn into a nice charity quilt.

Design Wall Monday

Although late for DWM,

here are 2 projects I am working on:

First up X & + quilt (Zen Chic pattern)

made with a 'Hoopla" - 1 block

temporary lay-out 

 I am using Kona charcoal grey as background;

so far only the corner units are sewn

and still a bunch is missing.

Had a power outage on Sunday 

that stopped all activity...

And when I found my box with 1 1/2 inch strips,

I just had to try 2 spool blocks,

Bonnie Hunter's old

leader - ender challenge.

Love how quick they come together

and will likely make some more.

Size: just 3 1/2 inch square.

Be aware:

they are addictive!
