Border update

I am on a roll: 

just completed borders on 2 quilts!!!

And you know I am a border- phobic.

First up is my Easy Street completed top 

(Bonnie Hunter mystery)

so glad I found the perfect border fabric in my stash

On a different note:

I just love the quilt blogging community!

Becky sent me a huge piece of Black batting

and I am all set to use it for Color Burst!

I returned a fabric surprise pack to her,

she loved it 

and USPS even delivered it on time,

wow - that's a first!

Design Wall Monday

It seems like all I manage to do lately
is 1 blog post per week
with yet another quick update 

of the projects I am working on.
Well at least I have it in writing for future reference...

Orca Bay has grown a few more rows:

For Thursday's quilt guild meeting 

I finished quilting another donation quilt: 

I also made 2 Bingo blocks for the QG meeting.

MB - one is for you if you feel up to it!

And here is my latest block count of Space Dust:

32 of 44 blocks made - 

 I completed sewing the top

I always think I don't accomplish much

during the week,

but DWM shows me 

everything is moving along!

Design Wall Monday

In order to use some more fabric 

(ha, how is that for an excuse to start something new?)

I have been looking for a quick and easy QoV pattern - 

and finally found an older free one:

"Freedom is Our Strength"

Here are all the blocks and 

I will be sewing the rows as leaders-enders:

The fabrics may not be particularly patriotic,

but the blue-red-white color scheme is there.

Will see what I will do about the borders.

I also managed to get a 

partial Orca Bay piece sewn together.

I can finish 3 more rows and 

then I am missing some smaller units,

but I am so glad to have started 

putting it all together.

66 less pieces flying around 

and hopefully a completed top soon!
